Our puppy's health is very important to us and we follow a program designed by our vet. We have placed several pups with families, whose vets are amazed of the care, shots, etc. given to assure good health, and well being of your new pup. The pups will have their dew claws removed, they will be wormed at 5-7 weeks of age. We supply a completed shot record with dates and vaccines used.
Our puppy program is an expensive program to manage, however, it is our desire to maintain the integrity of our lineage and in order to do this, there are a lot of unforseen costs and vet visits, but we're serious about the pups that represent our name.
What You Can Expect:
All Labs purchased from Ozark Labradors will be vet checked. Whether your lab is delivered or picked up, new owners can expect to receive their dogs with their A.K.C. papers, the dog's shot records, a copy of the Do's ad Don'ts of Training a Pointing Lab, and a bag of the dog's current food. At Ozark Labradors, all of our puppies are fed high-quality puppy food. It is recommended that a high-quality diet be fed to your Labs during his or her complete lifetime. Please see your vet, as recommended, for more information about the nutritional needs of Labs.
We guarantee that all puppies will be socialized, wormed, have first set of shots and declaws removed. All pups are guaranteed up to 26 months of age against a genetic defect in hips/eyes and for performance up to 10 months of age.
Our pups are sold primarily as family companions, hunting companions, and for active working purposes, not as breeding stock. Although we are open to full breeding rights, our pups are sold as pet quality only and in which case, they are placed with Limited Rights.
A written health guarantee is included in the sales agreement. The purpose of my sales agreement/contract is to establish an understanding between the breeder and buyer. The intent is to protect the interests of the breeder and the buyer, and to provide the health, safety and well-being of the puppy. I want my puppies to have a happy, healthy life. The agreement states my obligations to the new owners as well as the obligations of the owner to me and the puppy. I stand behind my puppy, with a new puppy if a problem develops.

If you buy a puppy from us, you agree to the following and have read and agreed to the entire page. This contract is between the buyer and seller of a puppy. The seller will provide the buyer with the Vet records of shots that the puppy has had. If any issues arise with the puppy, the buyer agrees to contact the seller immediately.
Seller agrees the puppy is in good physical condition at time of sale or within your first Vet visit, dated within 3 business days of receiving your puppy. After this date, guarantee is only for life threatening genetic defects, although we will work with the buyer if something comes up that is not life threatening in a fair professional manner. All registry papers and shot records must be returned to seller at time of returning the puppy, along with your Vet's report stating what is wrong with the puppy. If ever a buyer must rehome this pet, buyer will return dog to seller if a suitable home is not found, so seller can find a new home for the pet. We do not want any of our dogs to end up in a rescue or shelter. Deposits are non-refundable if the buyer changes mind on getting the puppy. Make sure the puppy is eating enough and eating the proper food or supplements. Guarantee is for the first year of life. Puppy buyer must keep (Ozark Labradors) as the prefix for puppy registered name, or guarantee is void.
Due to our efforts, we are confident in offering the warranty that our puppies will be free of genetic hip dysplasia, genetic eye issues, and be unaffected by any of the genetic diseases we test for. In the unlikely event that your puppy fails or is rejected by the OFA (hips), you will be eligible to receive a new puppy of equal value. If the new puppy is more expensive then the original puppy, the full purchase price of the original puppy will be applied toward the cost of the new puppy. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay for any difference in purchase price and any associated shipping fees. No money will be refunded, except at the sole discretion of Ozark Labradors.
Research has shown that dysplasia and other joint issues have three main causes: genetics, over feeding (and poor quality food) and too much exercise at a young age (excessive stress on joints). Therefore, Ozark Labradors does not cover elbow dysplasia or other joint issues due to, but not limited to: over-feeding, over-exertion on joints and bones, accidents, injuries, neglect, poor nutrition, etc.
Things not covered:
We do not cover a reaction to any medication or vaccine. Watch puppy closely after a vaccine or medication. Make sure the puppy is eating enough. We do not reimburse for Vet bills, therefore call us so we can help you save money with our experience, some meds and procedures are not always needed. We do not cover any surgical procedures that may need redone or fixed such as dew claws. We do not cover any adverse reaction or death from any surgery, remember anesthesia has risks.
IF YOU NEED US TO BOARD YOUR PUPPPY: If we have to hold a puppy for a buyer past the date it is ready to leave, there is a $20 a day boarding fee (plus any veterinary services). Of course we do not charge for delays on our end if the puppy is not ready or there is a shipping delay. We only board for up to a few weeks because pups need to be in a home as young as possible to get bonding and training started asap with the new family.
